The cable is handy if you have a large dialing directory or you want to keep multiple phones in sych.<br /><br />The trick is to install the driver listed with the cable FIRST.  Then download and install Nokia's PC Suite (currently version 6.6).  You must run the downloaded file from a local disk (it didn't work when I had it on my network drive).  <br /><br />Windows treats the USB cable as a serial device, assigning it a &quot;COM&quot; number, like COM4.  When you configure the cable in PC Suite, specify that it's a serial connection and specify the &quot;COM&quot; number.<br />")
